Mount Rinjani 3D/2N via Senaru

Wake up at 6:30 AM and enjoy breakfast. Afterward, we’ll take a 15-minute walk to the Rinjani Trek Center in Senaru for registration.

The trek begins around 8:00 AM from the Rinjani Trek Center, taking us through a lush tropical forest filled with diverse plant life, birds, and various species of butterflies. We’ll take our first break at Post 2, Montong Satas Shelter (1,500 m), where we’ll enjoy tea and biscuits.

After resting, we’ll continue trekking uphill for about 2 hours to reach Post 3, Mondokan Lolak (2,000 m), where we’ll stop for lunch.

Following lunch, we’ll resume the journey with a 2-hour climb to the Senaru crater rim (2,641 m). This location offers one of the most breathtaking views, second only to the summit.

Here, we’ll marvel at a stunning sunset overlooking Mount Agung in Bali and the smoke rising from the new volcano near the lake. We’ll set up camp at the crater rim and spend the night under the stars.

After having breakfast, we’ll proceed with the descent to the lake and hot springs.

The trail down to the lake is steep and slightly slippery, requiring about 2.5 hours to reach. Once at the lakeside, we’ll take a break to relax. Here, you can take in the scenic beauty, enjoy a swim in the lake, or soak in the hot springs to relieve any muscle fatigue from the trek.

Meanwhile, the porters will prepare lunch for us. After lunch, we’ll leave the lake and hike back up to the Senaru crater rim (2,641 m), which will take approximately 2.5 hours. We’ll set up camp at the crater rim and spend the night there.

After enjoying breakfast with a stunning sunrise, we will begin our descent from Mount Rinjani to Senaru village, passing through the rainforest. If fortunate, we might spot the rare black monkey. The journey will take approximately 5 hours, with lunch provided along the way. Upon reaching Senaru village (601 m), a car will transport you to your next destination.
